beautifuliving: community planning, brand & product development
beautifuliving™ is a conceptual project born out of a 2004 photographic survey of the Las Vegas Exurbs, where real estate developers promoted a utopian vision of modern suburban life. This fed an investigation of the history of utopian visions, both fictional & practical, including visits to other communities, such as Disney's Celebration in Florida.
This merged my interests in science, technology, & our sense of "home". The beautifuliving™ community took form as an online presence that includes websites, Facebook pages, & blogs; Promoting conversation on bioethics, spirituality, & the human condition through online community engagement & video chats.
The conceptual community was conceived & directed by its purported founder, Dr. David Scott, whose history included establishing the beautifulScience group, Evolution is Energy™, which sought out the genetic source of happiness™ & to allow the individual to determine & control their own version of happiness. Along the way, many technologies were born, discovered & patented; most of which were not realities in the early part of this century but now are coming to market. The productization of phycological states, designer gene therapies, smart homes & vehicles, embedded technologies, health & wellness technologies, & community life, served the community directive.
